ISETLW 2.x

ISETLW is a true Windows program. It is fully mouse and clipboard enabled, has Windows-style menus and push buttons, uses typical dialog boxes for opening and saving files (including changing drives and directories), knows how to print to Windows printers, supports cut, copy, paste, and single-level undo, allows timing of code executions, and has no artificial memory barrier related to DOS limitations. Version 2.0 implements the graphics functionality of ISETL for DOS 3.0. The display buffer is still 10K, but the workspace allocation (!memory command) is only limited by the amount of memory on your computer. You can interrupt (File | Interrupt or push the Interrupt button) a long calculation or long output. Eventually, ISETLW will utilize a typical Windows Multiple Document Interface (simultaneous multiple open text windows), but Version 2.x has only one execution window and one graphics window.

Future plans

July, 1996, and early August, 1996: Very little activity.
Mid-August - November, 1996: Minor development, except for responding to bug reports.
Version 3: Maybe by late December, 1996, maybe Summer, 1997; MDI interface --multiple windows; Status Bar; Find & Replace
Other ideas with no particular time table: Improved memory allocation for display buffer (expand from 10K to much larger); Context-sensitive Help
